Mississippi Governor’s Welcome Message

As Governor of the State of Mississippi, I would like to personally invite you to join me in Biloxi November 17-19, 2013, for the 2013 Annual Meeting of the Southeast U.S. – Japan (SEUS-Japan) and Japan – U.S. Southeast Associations. Mississippi is honored to host this 36th Annual Joint Meeting for the first time since our affiliation with the organization.

The theme of the 2013 event is “Success through Harmony, Tradition and Innovation.” This event is an excellent opportunity to join together with our southeastern neighbors and Japanese partners to strengthen ties and celebrate successes throughout the history of the association and continue to encourage future success through innovation.

In addition to the quality agenda under development for the benefit of all attendees, I am pleased to have the opportunity to showcase a truly extraordinary region of our state, the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where you can experience first-hand the beauty, culture and warm hospitality that are hallmarks of Mississippi and the Southeast region. Our Chairman, Mr. William Yates of Yates Construction Company, is especially eager to welcome you to his hometown.

My wife, Deborah, and I hope you will mark your calendar to participate with us in the 2013 SEUS-Japan Joint Meeting, as we know your involvement in the SEUS-Japan and Japan - U.S. Southeast Associations will make a difference. Through continued cooperation, we will create better economic opportunities for the citizens of our region both now and in the years ahead.

We look forward to seeing you in Mississippi November 17-19!

Sincerely,

Phil Bryant
